Our Houston, Texas client is searching to add an HR business partner for their Southeast Houston location. Applicants musts verify that they live in Southeast Houston to be qualified. A Bachelor’s degree in an HR related field plus 5 years of experience and related certifications required; additional relevant work experience can be considered in lieu of the Degree, but HR Certifications are still required. 3+ years of Lean Manufacturing experience required. Thorough understanding of the Kaizen methodology and ability to implement required.
This role will have a strong focus in Talent Acquisition of exempt and non-exempt employees as well as a strength in Learning and Development/Training. Additional required experience includes partnering with management and employees as an employee champion or change agent by working to develop integrated solutions. This position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The desired HR Business Partner will successfully stay on top of this location’s financial position, hiring needs, learning and development requirements, culture, and its competition. 5 – 8 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development/Training, and partnering with management for strategy development
Conduct meetings with management providing HR guidance as necessary including performance coaching, career development, counseling, disciplinary actions, etc)
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
